	I fully believe that any other musician would consider it a flattering and rewarding task to convey in sounds the pacing around the stage of the Pushkin Theatre's ''Pan Sapieha'', after the {{und2\|Papal Nuncio}} (?) etc., and would hasten, forgetting all their ~~worried~~, sorrows and anxieties, to set to work on the nine marches Mrs Brenko requires — but I feel myself powerless before this mighty task. I wish with all my heart that there is someone more capable than me of obliging enlightened customers, and I hope that the seven artists who make up Mrs Brenko's excellent orchestra, will find something to sing at the performance of "''Boris''", my assistance notwithstanding. I envy the chosen one, on whom the happy lot shall fall to distinguish himself before the [[Moscow]] public with his ingenuity when it comes to march-like themes — but, conscious of my ~~powerless~~ and feebleness, I hang my head dolefully and dare to decline this flattering offer.
