If it has no name, and I'm actually mistaken in calling this thing a ''bombardon'', then instead of ''Bombardone'' in the score, put ''Canon'', or ''Colpi di Canone'', or ''Canons'', or ''Coups de canons'', or in Russian ''cannon'', as the existing note on the 1st page will explain that this is not a real cannon, but a drum <ref name="note3"/>. Корректуру Бортнянского я тебе выслал 4 дня тому назад. Корректуру (это я знаю отлично по опыту) нельзя делать ''срочно'', т. е. засесть и сделать, ибо тогда, тысяча ошибок пройдёт незамеченными. Я могу её делать лишь известными порциями и оттого всегда принуждён держать её дольше, чем нужно, а тут ещё случилась неприятность с ''Postiglione'', отнявшая у меня 3 дни. Впрочем, откровенно говоря, меня мало трогает твоё отчаяние, голубчик мой! Издавай как можно лучше, т. е. чтобы как можно меньше ошибок было, а о сроках не беспокойся; от этого ничего трагического не произойдёт, что выпуск выйдет неделей позже.

Относительно ''Bombardone'' потрудись узнать в театре, как называется инструмент, употребляемый для пушки, т. е. огромный барабан висящий, по которому бьют как по ''gran cassa''. Если названия нет, если я действительно ошибся, назвав эту штуку ''бомбардон'', то вместо ''Bombardone'' выставь на партитуре ''Canon'', или ''Colpi di Canone'', или ''Canons'', или ''Coups de canons'', или по-русски ''пушка'', а примечание, существующее на 1-ой стp[анице], разъяснит, что это не настоящая пушка, а барабан.
