Как это непрактично не выставлять ''адреса'' на письмах. Хоть убей, не знаю, как адресовать письмо, хотя отлично знаю, как к тебе попасть собственной особой. Однако ж на авось буду адресовать это письмецо без обозначения № дома.

Насчёт ковров скажу, что я их ''ужиливаю от вас''. Когда решился вопрос о моем переезде, то оказалось, что ковры эти мне страшно нужны, и ''Паня'' сама посоветовала мне без церемонии отнять их от вас, утверждая, что, в сущности, они вам вовсе не нужны. Как бы то ни было, но теперь ковры эти у меня, и отдам я их только если ты придёшь с полицией, да и то раскровеню все морды, прежде чем расстанусь с ними. Милому Коке тоже попадётся здоровая колотушка. Итак, если хочешь скандала, братоубийственной распри, пролития крови, то действуй. Если же убоишься, то лучше позволь заплатить 30 р[ублей] и забудь о коврах. Пожалуйста, милый ''Кукарекушка'', уступи! Прошу ''Олю'' простить меня.

На будущей неделе я вышлю тебе 80 р[ублей] сер[ебром], только предварительно напиши 2 словечка: 1) уступаешь ли ковры? 2) номер дома.
