	I received simultaneous invitations from 1) the Choral Society, where I am some sort of director, and 2) from the Synod Choir. Both of them wanted me to listen to everything they had learned again. Я получил приглашение разом от 1) Хорового общества, где я состою чем-то вроде директора и 2) от Синодальных певчих. Те и другие желали, чтобы я прослушал все ими вновь выученное. Поэтому я был в Москве, но как раз когда тебя не было. Наличных денег у меня не хватило, и поэтому я жил в долг в ''Моск[овской] гостинице''. Завтра придут к тебе за деньгами, — потрудись выплатить 25 руб[лей] сер[ебром] подателю.

''Карлуша'' собирается на этой неделе ко мне, и я его просил добыть ''Кашкина'' (коего очень хочу видеть), а тебя умоляю сговориться с ними двумя и приехать тоже. Всего лучше вам выехать с ''почтовым'' поездом; но прошу ''хорошо'' позавтракать и, даже лучше, пообедать, дабы мы могли до ужина ''нагуляться'' вволю. Необходимо ''предупредить'' меня, когда вы будете. Итак, прошу тебя немедленно войти в переговоры с ''Карлушей'', решить день и час отъезда и дать мне знать, дабы я вышел вас встретить.
