	If I might be permitted to make only one observation. In §18 the times for meals are set, wherein ~~appointed~~ the time for dinner is from 4 to 6 o'clock. It is further indicated that dinner will not be served either earlier or later than this period of time. Whereas I am very well aware that in the timetable of the Conservatory there are no classes scheduled after 5 o'clock {{*}} — quite frequently, for the sake of rehearsals, singing, or any particular circumstances in general, students may be detained until well after 6 o'clock. Therefore I would consider it reasonable for girls who missed the appointed hour due to the requirements of the Conservatory authorities to be permitted dinner, even if it were cold. It would be a pity to compel our students to endure hunger, when for the sake of fulfilling their duties, they innocently violated the rules laid down for ~~meal times~~.		If I might be permitted to make only one observation. In §18 the times for meals are set, wherein the time appointed for dinner is from 4 to 6 o'clock. Внимательно прочитав и обдумав вновь утверждённые Комитетом Общества Поощрения Трудолюбия обязательные правила для девиц, живущих в квартирах Попечительства об ученицах Московской Консерватории, имею честь известить Вас, что я нахожу правила эти превосходно составленными, обеспечивающими за упомянутым учреждением должный порядок, дисциплину и полное матерьяльное и нравственное благополучие будущих обитательниц его.

Я позволю себе сделать только одно замечание. В § 18 распределяется время столования, причём для обеда назначено время от 4 до 6 ч[асов]. Далее замечается, что ни раньше, ни позднее этого промежутка времени обеды выдаваемы не будут. Между тем мне отлично известно, что хотя по распределению часов занятий в Консерватории, позднее 5 часов классов не бывает {{*}}, — но весьма часто, ради репетиций, спевок или вообще каких-либо особых случаев, ученицы задерживаются гораздо долее 6 часов. Поэтому я находил бы справедливым, чтобы девицам, пропустившим назначенный час вследствие требований Консерваторского начальства, обед, хотя бы и холодный, всё-таки выдавался. Весьма было бы жаль заставлять терпеть голод учениц, неповинных в том, что оне, ради исполнения своих обязанностей нарушили установленный для столования порядок.
