Знаете, что, кажется, не придётся мне быть в среду в Клину. Во-1-х, кажется, в этот вечер я буду в консерватории, а во 2-х, я получил известие, вследствие коего, быть может, не придётся быть ни в Клину, ни в Москве. Все это разрешится в понедельник или во вторник. Когда Вы уезжаете? Успею ли я Вам дать знать во вторник, ехать ко мне или нет?

Я страшно огорчён смертью Н. С. Зверева и в особенности тем, что вследствие незнания, когда похороны, я не мог от дать последний долг покойному. Вообще сразу накопилось множество расстраивающих меня обстоятельств. Ответьте сейчас же. Но, увы, завтра воскресенье и Вы моё письмо раньше понедельника не получите!
