Как ты поживаешь? Что делается в Консерватории? Что твоя жена и дети? Что «Евгений Онегин»? Через неделю он пойдёт. Напиши мне, голубчик мой, как сойдёт предстваление, кто отличится и, напротив, кто осрамится. &lt;br /&gt;

Я живу в безусловном одиночестве. Кроме своего Алёши, никого не вижу. Квартирка моя за городом, в чудесной местности, с видом на город и окрестности, с розами в саду и с зелёненькой травкой. Впрочем, сегодня такая отвратительная погода с дождём и снегом, что я с завистью думаю о хорошем зимнем дне в Москве. Я пишу &amp;#039;&amp;#039;сюиту&amp;#039;&amp;#039; для оркестра и занимаюсь не без усердия. Иногда хожу пешком в чудесный, милый город и захожу в галереи и картинами. I am living in absolute solitude. I see no one apart from my [[Alyosha]]. My small flat is out of town, in a wonderful area from which one can look down on the city itself and the environs, and which has a garden with roses and flourishing green grass. Today, however, the weather is so repulsive, with rain and snow, that I think enviously of a fine winter&amp;#039;s day in [[Moscow]]. I am writing a &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[Suite No. 1|suite]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; for orchestra and I am working on this quite assiduously &amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;note3&amp;quot;/&amp;gt;. Sometimes I walk into the wonderful and nice city, and look in at the picture galleries. To be honest, although sometimes, when I think about you and other friends, I feel sad, still I am &amp;#039;&amp;#039;completely happy&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, I enjoy my solitude and do not regret at all, not for one moment, that I left [[Moscow]].
