Olimpiada was the youngest child of child of the composer's grandparents [[Pyotr Fyodorovich Tchaikovsky]] (1745–1818) and his wife Anastasiya (b. Posokhova, 1751–?). She married Ivan Ivanovich Antipov, a senior official in the mining industry, and they had seven children — Pyotr (b. 1819) ; Yekaterina (b. 1822); Aleksandr (1824–1887), mining engineer and geologist; Mikhail (1824–1897); Aleksey (1833–1913); Yelizaveta; and Appolinariya.
