Russian pianist, (b. 1853; d. 1942), born Adelina Eduardovna Gippius (Аделина Эдуардовна Гиппиус), known outside Russian as Adele Hippius.

After graduating from Anton Rubinstein's classes at the Saint Petersburg Conservatory during the 1870s, Adele went on to become a music teacher and concert pianist.
