Dear friend!
I made a mistake in the list of characters in "The Queen of Spades", i.e. I omitted several persons, and therefore I'm sending you another list on a separate sheet [1]. Some time ago now you asked me about the title page for "The Queen of Spades". I think it should be thus: An opera in 3 acts and 7 scenes. (Story adapted from Pushkin's novel) Libretto by M. Tchaikovsky
Music by P. Tchaikovsky
Please kindly send 50 rubles to the following address: town of Bar, Podolsk province, to Vonifaty Matveyevich Sangursky [2] (this is for a picture, which I commissioned from him). Sorry to trouble you. Yours, P. Tchaikovsky |
