My dear chap! Pollini telegraphs me that he has still not yet received the musical materials for "Onegin". When might it be expected to reach him there? It's essential that I find out quickly whether there will be time to send Pollini everything that's required so that the opera can be staged in the 2nd half of January, in the new style [1]. Write what you think about this. Address it to Osip Ivanovich in Petersburg, where I will be calling after Reval.

Comparing the overture to "Cherevichki" with the old edition, there are changes requiring new engraving. There are no changes to the dances. The minuet could be included.

I have the full score of the first act with me at home, but it seems no changes have been made to the full score. But there is no hurry in all whole matter, we'll discuss it when we meet.

I embrace you.

P. Tchaikovsky
