24 November

The opera is going on 6th December [1]. You may come whenever you wish, but I think it would be sufficient if you arrive on the 4th. You'll be staying with Nazar [2], who is very pleased about your arrival. Just imagine that immediately after the performance I have to travel abroad. How do I take my trunk abroad? Is the one I have with me here now too big?

Today is Katya's [3] birthday: congratulate her from me with all best wishes.

Please bring with you all the latest newspapers — both November's and December's.

Send everyone my regards, including Georgy Alekseyevich Sofronov [4].

Yours, P. Tchaikovsky
