Милая Аня! Хотел тебе написать сегодня подробнее, но пришлось написать три огромных деловых письма, притом французских. Вследствие их я так устал, что могу только несколько слов сегодня написать. Откладывать же не хочется. Мы скоро увидимся; я собираюсь 23-го числа быть в Петербурге и провести все праздники. В первый же день пребывания в Петербурге буду у тебя, но, конечно, не для того, чтобы кузину видеть, а ради ''вышивки'', так и знай. Про себя скажу, что когда живу в Майданове, чувствую себя прекрасно и наслаждаюсь своей свободой и одиночеством, но как попаду в Москву, а попадать приходится часто, — так делаюсь ни на что не похож. Радуюсь, что тебе моё трио понравилось. Теперь делаю корректуры своего «Манфреда». Думаю, что это лучшее из всего, что я написал в жизни. Конечно, я тебе помогу достать какие угодно билеты. Аня! прости, родная, что так мало пишу! Как я был рад твоему письму, в деревне ценишь больше всего письма.


Иду обедать. Будет пюре из перловой крупы, телячьи котлеты и блинчики с вареньем.
Vladimir was the oldest child of the Czech conductor [[Eduard Nápravník]] (1839–1916) and his wife [[Olga Nápravník (mother)|Olga]] (b. Schröder, 1844–1902). He became a lawyer, and secretary to the board of the Russian Musical Society in [[Saint Petersburg]].

Tchaikovsky had good relations with all the Nápravník family, and corresponded regularly with them. As Vladimir recalled in his memoirs "Despite the fact that he was of the same age as my father, he took me 'seriously', acquainted me with his brother [[Modest]] [...] and introduced me also to the company of his nephews and their friends".

Vladimir Nápravník (1869-1948)

Lawyer and son of Eduard Nápravník (b. 1869; d. 1948), born Vladimir Eduardovich Nápravník (Владимир Эдуардович Направник).

Vladimir was the oldest child of the Czech conductor Eduard Nápravník (1839–1916) and his wife Olga (b. Schröder, 1844–1902). He became a lawyer, and secretary to the board of the Russian Musical Society in Saint Petersburg.
