Карлуша! Ларош со вчерашнего вечера нездоров, и я сам уговорил его не являться сегодня в Консерваторию. Пишу, чтобы ты знал, что не лень, а действительное нездоровье мешают ему быть в Консерв[атории]. Обнимаю.

Karlusha! Laroche has been unwell since yesterday evening, and I myself dissuaded him from presenting himself at the Conservatory today. I'm writing to let you know that this is not indolence, but rather actual ill health preventing him from being at the Conservatory [1]. I hug you.
