Hôtel Richepanse.

I arrived here safely this morning. The journey was very tedious, and by the end I was agitated and upset concerning the fate of "Mazepa" in Petersburg. Fortunately, there was a telegram from Modya waiting for me here, to say that it had gone well. I was undecided where to go from here, but the desire not to be completely alone prevailed, and I'm going to Paris tomorrow, where I'll establish the whereabouts of Kolya and Anna, and if they're in Italy, I'll go to them. The weather here is altogether spring-like. My health couldn't be better, and my appetite has returned with three times the strength. I kiss Panichka, Tanya-Milya and you awfully hard. Write to Paris: Hôtel Richepanse.
