Очень хотелось бы, но попроси Хлудова подождать ответ до среды. Хочу послать Алексея посмотреть, сообщи твоё мнение.
Чайковский

Should very much like to, but ask Khludov [1] to wait until Wednesday for reply [2]. Want to send Aleksey to see you, report your opinion.

Notes and References

  1. Vasily Alekseyevich Khludov (1840-1913), a Moscow merchant, and owner of an estate at Krivyakino, near Voskressensk.
  2. Tchaikovsky was responding to a telegram from Jurgenson which has not survived. On this date he wrote in his diary: "In the morning received a message about renting Kriyavki" — see Дневники П. И. Чайковского (1873-1891) (1923), p. 181.
