Frederick Gleason
Tchaikovsky Research
American composer and music critic (b. 17 December 1848 in Middletown, Connecticut; d. 6 December 1903 in Chicago), born Frederick Grant Gleason.
In 1891, Gleason wrote to Tchaikovsky in his capacity as musical editor of the Chicago Tribune newspaper, seeking his views on the musical aspects of the "Columbian Exposition" scheduled to take place in the city in 1893.
