Le porteur de cette lettre est un ténor russe M[onsieu]r M. Medvedeff, chanteur très estimé en Russie qui voudrait se faire entendre par le public éclairé de Hamburg. Il possède outre une belle voix et une assez longue expérience, un riche répértoire et je suis sûr que Vous ne Vous repentiriez pas de l'avoir invité à chanter des Gastrollen sur Votre theâtre. The bearer of this letter is a Russian tenor, Mr. M. Medvedev [1], a highly-esteemed singer from Russia who should like to be heard by the discerning public in Hamburg. Besides having a beautiful voice and more than ample experience, he has a rich repertoire, and I am sure that you would not regret inviting him to sing Gastrollen [2] in your theatre.
