Louis Ratisbonne (1827-1900)

French writer (b. 29 July 1827 in Strasbourg; d. 24 September 1900 in Paris), born Louis Gustave Fortuné Ratisbonne.

Tchaikovsky's Settings of Works by Ratisbonne

Aleksey Pleshcheyev's translation of Ratisbonne's poem La Petite fleur was set by Tchaikovsky in 1883 as The Little Flower (Цветок), No. 11 of the Sixteen Songs for Children, Op. 54.
