Tchaikovsky in Lyons

Tchaikovsky stayed at Lyons on two occasions:

From Until Notes
27 June/9 July 1876 1/13 July 1876 Visiting his brother Modest at 3 Place Perrache. Modest was in Lyons in order to study a system of sonic speech that would facilitate better communication with his deaf-mute pupil Nikolay Konradi, then just eight years old.
12/24 July 1876 14/26 July 1876 Returning to Lyons after twelve days at nearby Vichy, the composer set out with Modest Tchaikovsky, Nikolay Konradi and the child's governess Sofya Yershova for a journey by steamship down the Rhône to Montpellier.
