Montpellier is a city in the south of France, the capital of the Hérault department and of the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
Tchaikovsky in Montpelier
Tchaikovsky travelled by steamship to Montpellier down the Rhône from Lyons in late July/early August 1876.
He was accompanied on his journey by his brother Modest, Nikolay Konradi, and the latter's governess Sofya Yershova [1].
