Zinayda Olkhovskaya

Half-sister of the composer (b. 1829; d. 13/25 January 1878), born Zinayda Ilinichna Chaykovskaya (Зинайда Ильинична Чайковская); known after her marriage as Zinayda Ilinichna Olkhovskaya (Зинайда Ильинична Ольховская).

Zinayda was the only child of the composer's father Ilya Tchaikovsky (1795–1880) by his first wife Mariya (b. Keizer; d. 1831).

In January 1854 Zinayda married Yevgeny Ivanovich Olkhovsky (1824–1876), and they had five children — Mikhail (1854–1929); Yevgeniya; Mariya; Aleksandr; and Anatoly.
