Мне пришло в голову: не проехаться ли мне из Низов с Толей к Вам в Гранкино и не повесть ли там несколько дней? Кроме того, я мог бы приехать ещё раз гораздо позже, осенью? Если Толя не будет почему-либо противиться этому, то охотно бы это сделал. Мне очень захотелось повидаться с тобой! Дай мне сейчас же ответ и напиши, как нужно ехать, на какой станции остановиться? А я тогда буду тебе телеграфировать (''кстати, напиши адрес телеграммный'') о дне выезда. А главное, не стесняйся написать правду. Очень может быть, что тебе почему-либо теперь не хотелось бы выходить из установленного порядка и что мы тебе помешаем. Не стесняйся, Модичка, — ведь я ни в каком случае не обижусь. ''Я более, чем кто-либо, понимаю, что это может случиться''. Что Толя не будет противиться, — это несомненно. Итак, пиши скорее и спроси Алину Ивановну, не может ли она, в случае, если на это время она назначила отъезд в Киев, отложить его? Толя около 1-го июля будет в Низах, а 2-го, 3-гои 4-го мы мог ли бы поехать к тебе и остаться с неделю или несколько меньше. Адресуй, разумеется, к Кондратьеву (''Сумская линия, ст[анция] Сыроватка'').

Мне как-то грустно будет вернуться в Каменку, не побывав у тебя, и я решился уж заодно прогостить и в Низах, и в Гранкине.
