Сегодня начался карнавал. У нас вместе с Кондратьевым нанята ложа на ''Corso'', из коей мы и смотрели на это ни с чем не сравнимое беснование. Не скажу, чтобы оно пришлось мне по вкусу, но Коля, Алёша и даже Модя в восторге, не говоря о Кондратьеве.

Получил сегодня ответ от Бесселя. Он слишком длинен и курьёзен, чтоб я в состоянии был передать его тебе. Я решил покончить это дело, когда сам буду в Питере, а то будем только без толку переписываться.

Погода стоит чудная, т. е. совсем летняя.

Если получу на будущей неделе деньги, то думаю съездить в Неаполь. Мне очень хочется там побывать до отъезда в Россию. Впрочем, если ты пожелаешь, чтобы я ехал тотчас в Питер, то без сожаления исполню твоё желание.
