After dressing, he and I went for a walk and to change money, and at 12 o'clock we had lunch at the same table that we used to with you. Lunch was magnificent. The majority of the servants are the same. I was particularly glad to see ''Cesare'', Tito and ''Giovanni'' (a young, quick-eyed boy who began serving at the table d'hôte at the end of our stay). After lunch, ''Amici'' turned up. The poor boy has lost a lot of weight, but he doesn't look bad for it. The bank where he worked collapsed, and once again he was without a position and out of business.
