I am very fond of this priest, I know that he is very poor, and I actively share his grief. Naturally, if she has been excluded from the set, then there is a reason for this. But do tell me if she has been treated correctly? The student [[Tarnavich]] was sent home to recover from illness before Easter. She did actually recover, and went to [[Moscow]] to start the course, having received 50 rubles from her father to cover the usual fees — and suddenly there is this surprise. Why, when she was sent away, was her father not forewarned that his daughter was not making progress, that she could not be included in the set, and that he should either withdraw her altogether, or be prepared to pay 200 rubles? He may then have decided to withdraw her, due to lack of funds. But now, with the last of his money (it so happens that the present harvest is poor), he is raising his daughter, sending her away — only for them to demand money that she does not have. In my opinion there has been some sort of misunderstanding in this instance.
