Я позволил себе выразить желание, чтобы кантата моя была разучена и исполнена под руководством г. Направника в том предположении, что русская оперная труппа вместе с хором и оркестром будет переведена в Москву на время празднеств коронации. Но так как отправка её не имеется в виду, то мне остаётся только выразить уверенность, что и г. Альтани, которого я знаю с весьма хорошей стороны, исполнит возложенную на него задачу талантливо и добросовестно. Равным образом сочувственно отношусь я и к выбору г-жи Лавровской и г. Мельникова для исполнения партий соло. Надеюсь, что кантата моя, отправленная в субботу 26 марта / 7 апреля (большою скоростью) в Петербург, уже дошла до своего назначения.&lt;br /&gt;
