Вот как я решил поступить с клавираусцугом. Первые три действия посылаю тебе, но так как в них есть поправки, то их нужно переписать. Четвёртое действие, все испещрённое поправками, уже переписывается, и скоро и его я тебе вышлю. Ты же потрудись поскорее прислать мне оркестровые №№, дабы я мог заняться их переложением. Относительно двух ручного переложения умоляю тебя приискать кого-нибудь, кто бы этим занялся, ибо мне до того много дела, что голова кругом ходит.

Разумеется, заплачу за это я сам. Не согласится ли Евгениев принять на себя этот труд. Если нет, то приищи другого, но только, ради всего святого, избавь меня от этой донельзя томительной работы. Относительно симфонии мне остаётся только покориться данному тебе слову, хотя, право, это дело для тебя прибавит только хлопот, а денег не принесёт. Прошу тебя по выходе моих романсов подарить мне 5 экземпляров. Будь добр, напиши мне в точности, что именно из моей оперы будет петь Рааб, — я хорошенько не понимаю, ''Соловушко'' или ариозо в sol bémol? — меня это очень интересует. Полагаю, до лета мне необходимо будет побеседсвать с тобой насчёт печатания как оперы, так и симфонии. Кто будет делать корректуру? как бы устроить так, чтобы не было опечаток? и т. д.
