I have been awfully tired from rehearsals, to the point of complete physical and mental exhaustion, but, evidently, this active life has had a good effect on my health, because all my illnesses and ailments have disappeared, as if by the wave of a hand. I predict that I shall be very anxious at the 1st performance — but I should be just as anxious if I were hiding somewhere behind the scenes. At the same time, I have been working on "''[[The Enchantress]]''", and have made an arrangement of the whole of the 2nd act. I myself am astonished at how I found the strength and time to successfully complete what had to be done, in view of the urgency to finish before the holidays. I am excessively glad and fortunate to find myself in the country — but I shall not be resting. As from tomorrow, I shall be devoting all my time to "''[[The Enchantress]]''", in order to complete the 3rd act before the 7th.
