Милая Баташа! Замечательно, что получил я Ваше письмецо как раз, когда только что собирался написать Вам то же самое, что Вы мне написали. Был я в Москве, но Вы были на даче, как мне сказал Кашкин, и потому я у Вас не был. Теперь я собираюсь в Москву, когда кончу эскизы балета, чтобы отдохнуть от работы, которой предаюсь теперь с некоторым излишеством. Очень может быть, что я проведу петров день в Москве, — но этого вопроса я ещё не решил. Во всяком случае я в Москве в более или менее близком будущем буду и предупрежу Вас. Вы, вероятно, в известные дни бываете каждую неделю в Москве. Когда именно? Напишите словечко в ответ. Страх давно не видел Вас и весьма буду рад поболтать с Вами. До свиданья, милая Баташа!!
