Потрудитесь, пожалуйста, объяснить П. И. Юргенсону: не находите ли Вы нужным, чтобы я приехал в Петербург для разъяснения, каких бы то ни было недоразумений по части предварительных распоряжений о постановке моей оперы. Вообще, не желаете ли Вы кое о чем переговорить со мной? Если да, то я в Вашем распоряжении и приеду с удовольствием. Если партитура в скором времени будет отдана в нотную контору для расписывания партий, то я попросил бы Вас сделать следующее распоряжение: весь полонез третьего акта, начиная с третьей строчки 193 страницы (клавираусцуга), нужно переписать на ½ тона ниже в ''Es-dur'', потому что военному оркестру трудно играть в ''E-dur''. В таком случае последние два такта 2-й строчки 193-ей стр[аницы] должны быть изменены следующим образом:
