Благодарю тебя от всей души за присылку нот. Я не мог достаточна нарадоваться тому, что в «Франческе» нет ни единой ошибки, т. е. эта я говорю о клавираусцугах, а не о партитуре, в которую боюсь заглянуть.

Напечатано все это превосходно. Гораздо слабее мои восторги относительно квартета. Во-первых, ex-Баталина кое-где сплоховала, а во-вторых, она не первоклассная корректорша. Ошибки есть, и довольно грубые.

Что касается духовной музыки, то ты прислал мне совсем не то, что мне нужно. Мне нужен полный ''текст'' литургии, с музыкой или без музыки—это все равно. Умоляю тебя достать мне таковой или, в крайнем случае, указать, к кому за ним обратиться.

Я кончаю скрипичный концерт. Как-то совершенно случайно я набрёл на мысль о нем, сел, увлёкся, и теперь черновая работа уже почти готова. Вообще тебе угрожает порядочная масса моих новых писаний. У меня уже есть 7 мелких пиэс, два романса и начало ф[орте]п[ьянной] сонаты. К концу лета придётся нанять специальный вагон, чтобы доставить тебе всю эту груду. Воображаю, как из уст твоих раздастся энергическое: ''м... его за ногу''! Пеняй на себя, дружище; зачем связался со мной? Я останусь здесь ещё недели 2–3, а к святой уже буду в Каменке. С тобой не увижусь до осени. При первом свидании, не говоря дурного слова, прямо махнём в трактир и учиним выпивку. Вообще, странное дело, я не могу иначе вообразить себя в будущем учебном сезоне в Москве, как сидящим в трактире и успешно осушающим как графины с водкой, так и бутылки с вином.
