Ты, я думаю, удивишься, мой Толька милый и дорогой, что это письмо все ещё из Каменки. Я еду завтра. Все откладывал, откладывал и вместо недели прожил полторы. Я бы готов и вовсе не уезжать, до того мне здесь нравится, да теперь уж и хозяева здешние уезжают, так что поневоле нужно убираться. Саша с Левой, Таней и Верой едут в пятницу, но я немножко сомневаюсь, что они выберутся. Саша кашляет, Таня кашляет, Ука не совсем здоров. Вообще замечательно, что никогда, ни единого дня здесь не бывает без больных. Все они страшно берегутся, совершенно не постигают, как я решаюсь выходить из дверей дома в свой флигель без пальто, — а между тем я не простужаюсь, а они больны. Впрочем, я сам был нездоров, т. е. около недели у меня был упорный понос, а в воскресенье, после охоты, со мной случилось то же, что с тобой в Вербовке, т. е. ужаснейший мигрень, окончившийся истерикой, после которой я спал 12 часов сряду. Охота эта была очень неудачной. Было 30 стрелков, человек 50 конных облавщиков, а убито всего два зайца. Я страшно устал, и мигрень была следствием усталости.
