Servant of the composer (b. 1848 in [[Klin]]; d. 1932), born '''''Mikhail Ivanovich Sofronov''''' (Михаил Иванович Софронов).

Formerly a servant to [[Ferdinand Laub]] (a colleague of the composer's at the [[Moscow]] Conservatory), Mikhail Sofronov became Tchaikovsky's servant in 1871, later sharing these duties with his younger brother [[Aleksey]] (1859–1925). After Tchaikovsky's marriage in 1877, only [[Aleksey]] was kept on, and Mikhail left the composer's service.
