Amaliya Litke (1841-1912)

First cousin to the composer (b. 1841; d. 1912), born Amaliya Vasilyevna Shobert (Амалия Васильевна Шоберт); known after her marriage as Countess Amaliya Vasilyevna Litke (Амалия Васильевна Литке).

Amaliya was the eldest child of Vasily Shobert and his wife Yelizaveta. In the 1860s she married state councillor Nikolay Fyodorovich Litke (1839–1887), a railway engineer, by whom she had five children: Nikolay; Fyodor (1866–1912); Aleksandr (1868–1919); Konstantin (1873–1915); and Pyotr.
