Cependant je ne puis {{sic|m'empecher|m'empêcher}} de regretter que cet heureux {{sic|evénement|événement}} prive Moscou et toute la Russie d'une charmante et on ne peut plus {{sic|sympatique|sympathique}} artiste.
 
Дай Вам Бог всяческого счастья и благополучия. Не знаю, увидимся ли в Париже; я ещё не решил, куда поеду из Англии; это зависит от некоторых писем, которые я ожидаю. Во всяком случае ''до свидания'', ибо твёрдо надеюсь иметь удовольствие увидеться с Вами.

Yet I can not help but regret that this happy event shall deprive [[Moscow]] and all Russia of a charming artist who could not be more well-received.
 
May God grant you every happiness and prosperity. I do not know whether I shall see you in [[Paris]]; I have not decided where I am travelling from England; it depends upon some letters that I am expecting. In any case, ''until we meet'', because I am determined to have the pleasure of seeing you.
 
I kiss your hands; my deepest bow to your mother, and regards to your wife.

Cependant je ne puis m'empecher de regretter que cet heureux evénement prive Moscou et toute la Russie d'une charmante et on ne peut plus sympatique artiste.

Дай Вам Бог всяческого счастья и благополучия. Не знаю, увидимся ли в Париже; я ещё не решил, куда поеду из Англии; это зависит от некоторых писем, которые я ожидаю. Во всяком случае до свидания, ибо твёрдо надеюсь иметь удовольствие увидеться с Вами.
