Cher M[onsieu]r Wolff!

P. Tschaikowsky

17 February

Dear Monsieur Wolff!

Halíř [1] should very much like to play my concerto on the 27th [2]. He says he is completely free that day. What do you think? I should be delighted!

I had a great success in Frankfurt [3].

Goodbye! See you soon.

P. Tchaikovsky

  2. This concert did not take place, and Tchaikovsky did not conduct his Violin Concerto at all during his German tour in February 1889.
  3. Tchaikovsky had conducted his Suite No. 3 at a "Museum-Konzert" in Frankfurt on 3/15 February 1889.
