Анна Яковлевна! Получил сейчас письмо от бывшего товарища П. А. Устимовича [1], который просит рекомендовать ему учительницу (3 р[убля] за урок, 2 раза в неделю). Отправьтесь к нему сейчас; я сделал ему о Вас лестную рекомендацию.

Anna Yakovlevna! I have now received a letter from a former colleague P. A. Ustimovich, who asks to be recommended an instructor (3 rubles per lesson, twice a week). You should contact him forthwith; I have given him a flattering recommendation about you.

  1. Prokopy Andrianovich Ustimovich, a member of the Moscow district court. His letter to Tchaikovsky from 13/25 January 1886 is preserved in the Klin archive, although Tchaikovsky's reply to him has not survived.
