Я действительно намерен дать в Париже в марте месяце концерт из своих сочинений. Организацией этого концерта занимается мой парижский издатель ''{{sic|Felix|Félix}} Масkаr'', из последнего письма коего я вижу, что он пригласил к участию в моем концерте некоего г. ''Dièmer'', только что сделанного профессором консерватории. Таким образом, я лишён, к сожалению, возможности воспользоваться лестным предложением Вашим. В случае успеха 1-го концерта я непременно устрою 2-ой, и тогда позвольте рассчитывать, что Вы не откажетесь украсить его Вашим участием. Очень может быть, что для меня было бы во всех отношениях лучше, если бы Вы, а не ''Dièmer'' играли в моем 1-ом концерте, но этот ''Dièmer'' уже давно всячески выказывал мне сочувствие к моим сочинениям и не далее как в прошлом году с необычайным успехом и без всякого вознаграждения играл моё трио и множество пиэс в концерте, устроенном тем же г. ''{{sic|Felix|Félix}} Масkаr''. Таким образом, благодарность обязывает меня ценить готовность, выказанную им и на этот раз, сыграть несколько моих вещей в том числе и концерт. I do indeed intend to give a concert of my works in [[Paris]] during the month of March <ref name="note1"/>. The organisation of this concert is being undertaken by my Parisian publisher ''[[Félix Mackar|{{sic|Felix|Félix}} Масkаr]]'', from whose latest letter <ref name="note2"/> I see that he has invited a certain Monsieur ''[[Dièmer]]'', who has just been made a professor at the conservatory, to participate in my concerto. In the event that the 1st concert is successful, I shall certainly arrange a 2nd, and then allow me to rely that you will not decline to adorn it with your participation. It may very well that it would in all respects have been better for me if it were not ''[[Dièmer]]'', but rather you who were playing in my 1st concert, but this ''[[Dièmer]]'' has already for a long while expressed every possible approbation for my works and as recently as last year had remarkable success when he played my [[Trio]] and many concert pieces without any remuneration, at the behest of the same Monsieur ''[[Félix Mackar|{{sic|Felix|Félix}} Масkаr]]''. Therefore, gratitude obliges me to appreciate the readiness to perform my things, including the concerto, which he has demonstrated on many occasions. To rescind the invitation is impossible.
 
I hope that I might take advantage of your superlative talents for my 2nd Parisian concert <ref name="note3"/>, with my enduring deep gratitude and respect for you,
