Golubushka Sofya Ivanovna!

I'm not particularly well; I've been indisposed the whole week here, and I do not want, and ought not, to go to Moscow. Regarding the parts, I reiterate: where the full score disagrees with the piano reduction, the latter should be adhered to. If it is difficult for Anna Konstantinovna to do these proofs by herself, could not Chrysander assist her??

I'm sending you a thick book of the full score of the 1st act of the opera "Cordelia", and humbly ask you to see that it is wrapped in paper, inscribed: To Ippolit Karlovich Altani — and dispatched to the office of the Imperial Theatres for delivery to Altani. It will be necessary to obtain a receipt from someone when they receive the score.

Forgive me for bothering you with this.

If Pyotr Ivanovich has arrived, give him my best regards. I'll visit Moscow as soon as I'm feeling better.

I kiss your hands.

P. Tchaikovsky
