  1. Jurgenson wrote his reply on the back of Tchaikovsky's telegram: "To Leipzig, Hôtel Hauffe, Tchaikovsky. Am travelling to Prague Monday until Thursday, bringing necessary. Jurgenson".
  2. While in Leipzig, Tchaikovsky had been staying at the Hôtel Hauffe, on the corner of Roßstraße and Roßplatz.
