Mein lieber, guter, hochg[eschätz]ter Freund!<br />
<br />
Herzliche Grusse am Bendl, Viebich, Kowardgeowitch, Ondřiček junior, Neruda, Čech, Anger und alle gute Freunde. Auf Wiedersehen!!!<br />

My dear, good and most treasured friend!<br />
Even though it is terribly difficult for me to write in German, I must nonetheless employ this Pan-Slavic language, in order to inform you that I often think of you, and that I will never forget how well and kindly you received me in Prague . I spent 3½ weeks in Paris (where my concerts were very successful), then in London, where everything also went well, and now I am returning to Russia and merely passing through Vienna. Dear friend, my cordial greetings to your dear wife , and permit me to say once more that I am very glad and happy to be worthy of your dear friendship. I hope to see you again in November! I shake your hand firmly and remain your most loyal friend,<br />
Р. Tchaikovsky<br/>Р. Čajkovsky<br />
P.S. The orchestra in London is very good, and these people read off the page quite remarkably. I talked about you a great deal with Berger and others; your symphony is being eagerly anticipated . Ondřiček played very well in the same concert.<br />
<br />
My most cordial greetings to Bendl , Fibich , Kovařovic , Ondřiček junior, Neruda , Čech , Anger , and all good friends. Until we meet!!!<br />
