Как ты думаешь, не поднести ли нам, т. е. директорам венок Клиндворту? Если ты и Рукавишников найдёте это возможным, то я участвую в поднесении очень охотно.
П. Чайковский

Сейчас уеду.

What do you think about bringing Klindworth a wreath from the directors? If you and Rukavishnikov think this is possible, then I will happily participate in the presentation [1].
P. Tchaikovsky

I'm leaving immediately.

Notes and References

  1. Karl Klindworth was the guest conductor at the 9th Russian Musical Society concert in Moscow on 1/13 January 1890. Tchaikovsky was ultimately unable to attend, as he was required in Saint Petersburg for rehearsals of his ballet The Sleeping Beauty, which premiered two days later.
