Dear friend! I'm sending you Klimenko's letter [1]. I very much want to carry out his request, i.e. to give him a decent round sum for the journey to Kamenka. I'm very glad that he's going there, where there are plenty of old maids who will be very attentive to him. This is probably the last time I am able to help him. So kindly dispatch someone to ascertain how much he needs, and give him the money from me. I've already written to him to say he'll be hearing from you [2]. Forgive me!

Yours P. Tchaikovsky
