He directed the Italian Opera company during their tour of Mexico (1835–39), Havana (1839–42) and New Orleans (1842–43). In 1850 he returned to Italy to become director of the [[Milan]] Conservatory, before accepting a similar position at the Collegia di Musica in [[Naples]] (1870–78).

Lauro Rossi (1810-1885)
