First and Second version (Muzgiz, 1955)

The editors of Tchaikovsky's Complete Collected Works used Tchaikovsky's autograph score as the basis for their edition, noting differences with the edition published in 1879 in an appendix or as ossia. None of the revisions made after 1879, except for the cut in the finale, were taken into account, on the grounds that "they cannot be proved to originate from Tchaikovsky himself".
