Tsaritsyno (Царицыно) is an administrative district of the city of Moscow, in the Russian Federation.

During Tchaikovsky's lifetime it was a separate village in the Moscow district (Московский уезд) and Moscow province (Московская губерния) of the Russian Empire.

Tchaikovsky travelled to Tsaritsyno around 1/13 August 1869 with fellow composer Mily Balakirev, to visit the poet Aleksey Pleshcheyev.
