Каменка 1-го сентября Милый Карлуша!
На днях к тебе явится с карточкой моей девица Миллер, которая намеревается поступить в Консерваторию. Я просил Нйк[олая] Альб[ертовича], если можно, поместить её в комплект (так как она моя стипендиатка и мне не хотелось бы платить 200 р[ублей]) и тебя прошу о том же. Кроме того, убедительно прошу тебя, голубчик, познакомить её с какай-нибудь ученицей Консерватории, живущей на своей квартире, которая бы могла помочь ей отыскать помещение и вообще устроиться. Я просил Софью Алексеевну принять девицу Миллер в дешёвые квартиры, — но, думаю, что поздно и что ей придётся устроиться иначе. Прости, голубчик, что отрываю тебя от дела.
