19 November Dear Marya Nikolayevna!
I have reason to believe that Alekseyev [1] does not especially like me, and therefore it is hardly likely that my pleading will have any effect. However, I am enclosing a note to him just in case [2]. May God grant your daughter a speedy recovery; I am sharing most vividly in your maternal anxieties! Regards to the co-founder of your courses [3]. Sincerely devoted, P. Tchaikovsky I am going to Petersburg and Revel on the 25th, and unfortunately will not be in Moscow. Give Kostya my regards; I wish him every success. |
