- ↑ The baritone Vasily Aleksandrovich Ostrovsky (1866-1942), graduated from Sebastián Tagliabué's singing classes at the Moscow Conservatory in 1892. It is not known whether he was one of the three students whose scholarships were funded by Tchaikovsky in the 1888/89 term.
